Helps participants to engage in their community, build social connections and develop life skills while engaging in community participation with Amma’s Care Services, our support staff aim participants to lead fulfilling and active lives within their communities.

Daily assisted living

Daily assisted living is a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities who need support with their daily activities. This support is designed to help NDIS participants maintain their independence, enhance their quality of life, and live as actively and autonomously as possible. AMMA’s CARE SERVICES recognises that every person with a disability has unique needs and goals. Our aim is to provide support that is tailored to our participant’s specific needs and preferences, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

Allied Health Services

Allied health services is a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities to access services from healthcare professionals who are not doctors or nurses. These professionals are known as allied health professionals, and they include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and psychologists, among others. Our team of allied health professionals aim to help participants improve their physical and mental health, develop new skills and abilities, and enhance their quality of life.

Group activities

Group activities are a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities to participate in group-based activities and programs. The aim of group activities is to support NDIS participants to build social connections, develop skills, and enhance their overall wellbeing.
Types of group activities include:
Examples: group fitness classes, music or art therapy sessions, cooking classes, and computer skills training. The funding can also cover transport and support workers to help participants to attend and participate in these activities*.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities who need assistance with daily tasks in a shared living arrangement. SIL aims to support NDIS participants to live as independently as possible, while also providing the necessary support to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

SIL can be provided in a variety of settings, including group homes, shared apartments, and other supported living arrangements.

AMMA’s CARE SERVICES is committed to ensuring participants are placed in an accommodation (with or without other housemates) which suit their individual needs and desires, and comfortability. SIL funding can be used to cover the cost of a range of support services, including:

Short & Medium-Term Accommodation

Short and Medium-Term Accommodation (including Respite) is a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities who need temporary accommodation or respite care.

This support is designed to help NDIS participants and their families to take a break from their usual care arrangements, to allow for carer rest and recuperation, and to provide participants with an opportunity to engage in community and social activities.

Short-term accommodation can range from overnight stays to a few weeks, while medium-term accommodation generally lasts between 3-6 months. Respite care can be provided in a variety of settings, including in the participant’s home, in a respite centre or in an alternative temporary accommodation. AMMA’s CARE SERVICES aim to provide tailored support that meets the participant’s specific needs and preferences, enabling them to have a break from their usual routine while also promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Travel & Transport

Travel and Transport is a support category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that provides funding for people with disabilities to access transportation services that enable them to participate in community, social, and economic activities.
Amma’s Care Services recognises that transportation can be a significant barrier for people with disabilities who want to participate in social and economic activities, and that access to safe and reliable transportation is essential for promoting independence, inclusion, and participation. By providing funding for Travel and Transport support, we aim to enable participants to access the transportation services they need to engage in community and social activities, attend appointments, and access education and employment opportunities.
